With a shorter length ideal for lightweight tours, avalanche rescue practice and terrain with shallow snowpacks, the Black Diamond Quickdraw Probe 240 features a durable 6-section aluminum construction, a Kevlar cord for weight savings and our innovative CordLock technology.

By utilizing a wiregate locking mechanism, the CordLock secures the probe without the use of a bag, therefore creating a faster rescue system thanks to quicker deployment. The Probe 240 has a fast, one-pull deployment in emergency situations, while the Kevlar cord keeps weight to a minimum.
